A New Friend is Coming!

It's a bittersweet time here for my lady.  She knows that Tuuli isn't going to be with us for much longer.  Tuuli is becoming more and more deformed and isn't very comfy on her toes.  She can't hop into the dome home anymore so my lady purchased her a beach shelter that Tuuli can just walk into.

This shelter won't be for winter since Tuuli won't be here.  My lady has a hard time thinking about not having Tuuli here.  My Dr. Wilson told my lady that Baalin and Tuuli would be heartbreakers and he was right.

I'm not supposed to know this, but I heard my lady telling Gimli that her idea was to bring me and my maa maa Narcissa up to the house with Wickery.  Hmmmm.  Then I heard her say that it was because I was beating up on my maa maa at feeding time and if we were up at the house then I could be put in a corral so I couldn't eat everyone's food and butt them.  Hey!

I guess my lady is planning to bring me and my maa maa up to the house soon.  See if she can do it... HA HA.  I don't go ANYWHERE if I don't want to, and I'm very strong.  She says she has a plan.  Harrumph.

This brings us to my surprise!  Because my lady is a little worried about how we goats will get along with Wickery she has found a little friend for him.

Here is Oliver!

Oliver lives on a farm a couple of hours away from here and he's still with his maa maa, Cameo.  He is a Jacob Sheep and he has FOUR HORNS.

Oliver's lady told my lady that he's available as a pet because he isn't up to standard to be used for breeding.  She also said that he's terribly friendly and that she would feel guilty sending him to the sale so people would buy him for food.

My lady gets to go pick Oliver up in mid-August.

 I guess he's kind of cute...for a sheep.

Here below is Oliver's baa baa Henry.  He's in the middle. If Oliver wasn't going to have his extra  brains removed (you know - the ones at the back end) then he'd grow horns like those two fellers on either side of his baa.  Once he gets his extra brains removed his horns won't get big like that.

Oliver's baa is very patient.  Look what some silly babies were doing!  They thought he was the milk bar!  They looked and looked!  Finally they gave up and went to look for their maa.

My lady hopes that Tuuli will be able to meet Oliver.  She needs to talk to Dr. Wilson this month.  She hates to make that phone call because he can't understand her when she is all sniffly and blubbery on the phone.  Silly lady.  Maybe I should call him for her.

We're so sorry to hear that Tuuli won't be with you much longer. We know how hard it is to love those little heartbreakers.

Isobelle, if I were you, I'd start making your plans for escape. If your human has a plan to get you moved, you'd better believe it. Those humans have a way of ganging up on you.

WE are so sorry to hear about Tuuli. But what a wonderful chance at life your lady has given Tuuli that Tuuli might not have gotten otherwise. She is a brave lady.
Oliver is rather cute...for a sheep. Now, then. If you would not butt others and stop acting like an Alpine, I bet your lady would not be making any plans. I'm just saying sometimes it is wiser to act nice. :)

I am sorry Tuuli is getting worse. Her and Baalin had the best life they ever could have hoped for there on your farm with your Lady to love and care for them.
I love those sheep! If I ever get to live where it is cooler I am going to get me some of those!
Isobelle,it sounds like you may be in for some trouble..again!

Tuuli is very lucky to be with you, I hate to think how life would have been for her and Baalin had they not been with you.

Oliver is wonderful!

And I am so sorry about Tuuli. I know how it is to make those calls to the vet... heartbreaking and awful. Tuuli is lucky to have you, and I know you feel the same about Tuuli. Hugs to you. It's a tough time. :(

I am very sorry hearing about Tuuli's health not improving.

The loving bond you and Tuuli share have truly enriched both of your lives and will never be broken.

Mumsy sez she is very sad about Tuuli, so she had to ask me to do the comments part for her. Me knows what it be like to have a good Maaa who takes care of you, even when you is not very strong or helfy. Me wasn't very helfy when Mumsy got me, but now I be OK. We wishes it was same for Tuuli. We's happy for Oliver though, becuz we not wants him to go to the sale barn and we finks you be best Maaa for Oliver. We sends big hugs! xox *Fezzik*

My heart goes out to you and Tuuli; my Carly is approaching that stage now. She's so arthritic, walking on her toes but she still loves bananas and for me to love on her. So I do.
